Good quality boards. Much easier to solder the plated through holes than the single sided boards.
The single side radio shack type boards are nearly impossible to create a picture perfect solder joint.
Good choice for a beginning solderer as these make it possible to get nice solder joints.
The connected pads make it easy to translate a breadboarded circuit to a permanent board.
